Video of sights and sounds on Saturday (10/30/10) of Micanopy’s 36th annual Micanopy Fall Harvest Festival, held on Cholokka Boulevard beneath weathered, moss-draped ‘vintage’ oak trees. Lots of great weather, food, and visitors!

If you didn’t get there yesterday, the Festival is open today (Sunday), 9 ’til 4.

Micanopy Fall Harvest Festival Foodie Porn.

Micanopy’s 36th annual Micanopy Fall Harvest Festival, held on Cholokka Boulevard beneath weathered, moss-draped ‘vintage’ oak trees, not only had almost 300 vendors, they had some very appetizing food!

Ocala’s Circle Square Commons Farmer’s Market On Livability’s 10 Amazing Local Farmers’ Markets List.

Ocala’s Circle Square Commons Farmer’s Market is on Livability’s “10 Amazing Local Farmers Markets” List! Located in the On Top of the World Community, the Farmer’s Market at Circle Square Commons is held every Thursday, April – October: 8 am to 12 pm and November – March: 9 am to 1 pm, weather permitting.

FAFO’s Ocala Arts Festival 2010 Cornered the Talent Market.

FAFO’s Ocala Arts Festival 2010 (October 23 and 24) cornered the talent market this year, featuring over 200 fabulous, uniquely talented artists. See the list of artists on this page.

One of my personal highlights while at the Ocala Arts Festival was meeting Ocala’s “Dynamic Equine Artist” Sharon Crute, and her husband. Visit Sharon’s Racing Gallery, her Jumping Gallery, and her Fox Hunting Gallery. Sharon’s studio is located in Downtown Ocala at 108 East Fort King Street, and her phone number is 352-671-7469.

Have You Eaten at Ocala’s Own Rose’s Round-Up Cafe?

Have you eaten at Ocala’s own Rose’s Round-Up Cafe in the North Magnolia Business District of Ocala at 809 North Magnolia Avenue? (Phone: 352-867-1458) My girlfriend, Annie, and I ate breakfast there yesterday before visiting the Ocala Arts Festival. I especially loved the Western lifestyle murals and decorations in Rose’s, and that Rose’s service is excellent.

Annie loved her omelet with onions, tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms and cheese, with a biscuit on the side. The Scramble was my choice, which was terrific – - home fried potatoes, sausage, cheese, bacon and eggs all scrambled together, with a biscuit on the side! WOW! Both of our meals are featured in the video below. Rose’s serves breakfast and lunch (you may order breakfast all day long). Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
